BACK to SCHOOL!

I can't believe it is time to go back to school! Where did the summer go!??? Kristopher is starting his Senior year at Alta High School, Jessica is an 8th grader at Indian Hills Middle School, & McKenna is in 3rd grade at Summit Academy. I started teaching 5th Grade at Summit Academy too!

Happy Birthday Papa Paul!

We spent the weekend in Idaho Falls with Roger's family! Papa Paul turned the big 70! We had a ton of fun playing with all the cousins!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSICA! BIG 13!

WOW! I can't believe she is an actual real live TEENAGER! She may be a teenager, but she isn't into clothes, boys, or make-up! It is actually quite nice!!! (and much less expensive!) Give her a basketball or soccer ball any day and she is HAPPY!

WOW! I am actually updating my Blog! (Don't anybody Faint!)

There is so much to blog, I don't know where to begin! I guess I will start with the baby chick!

Kristopher was answered to Jr. Prom with a LIVE baby chick! What a week! She was very cute but I was glad when we found her a new home! She took right to Kristopher and would quiet down the minute he picked her up. We named her Peep. She was afraid of the dark and had to have a light on all night. She pooped everywhere, but she was fun to have for the week. Thanks for taking her Amanda!

Draper Temple Open House

It has been so cool to watch the Draper Temple being built. McKenna was so excited to be able to go to the Open House and see inside. It was a cold, windy day so pictures outside were kind of scary, but it was still an awesome experience.

Ice Skating with Ali!

The girls love it when Ali has time to go ice skating with them. McKenna invited all her little friends to go too! Boy did they think Ali was cool! She did a few jumps and spins for them! I think maybe Kristopher & Ali should look into pairs skating! Thanks Ali! Can't wait to do it again!

Festival of Trees

McKenna loves to go to the Festival of Trees! This year we went with Libby & Lannea. They had a "Twilight" tree. It was pretty cute. However, the girls liked the "High School Musical" tree the best.

The Nutcracker 2008

McKenna's Dance Company does their own version of "The Nutcracker" They call it "The Children's Nutcracker" because it's cast is 95% children from the ages of 2 - 18. McKenna would love to be in the "real" Nutcracker, especially after seeing pictures of my sister's niece ( Randy's family) star as Clara in a traveling tour of "The Nutcracker". Her goal is to one day be Clara or the Snow Princess in her dance class. This is her third year doing the show. The 1st year she was an ANGEL, the 2nd year she was a GINGERELLE, and this year she was a TOY SOLDIER. She is a good little dancer and loves to perform!

Speech Festival -------- Way to go Kenna!

Every year McKenna's school does a Speech Festival. The kids have to memorize a poem that is between 1 & 3 minutes long. They have a class competition, where they narrow it down to four kids per class. Then they have a grade level competition to get it from 16 kids down to four. The final four recited their poems in front of all the first and second graders and four judges.
McKenna took FIRST PLACE in 2nd Grade. (She also took 1st place last year!)!!!
